The Association is pleased to announce the running of RHDR Association Special Trains on 13 November 2021, departing New Romney at 10.00am.
Specially featuring engines No 15, “Shelagh of Eskdale” and No 11, “Black Prince” (a Dampflok, in German) – hence the name. Prices and booking details will be announced shortly but we thought you’d like to get this event into your diary. Something to look forward to as Winter approaches.
The day will include :
Travel first class in one our our Heritage Coaches - these experiences are available via an online auction here:
Train departs New Romney at 10.00, double headed by diesels 15 and 12.
Train should run non-stop New Romney - Dungeness - New Romney.
Locos exchanged at New Romney from double-headed diesels to Black Prince.
Train runs non-stop to Hythe and return to New Romney.
Heritage Centre visit 12.30 to 1.25.
Train travels to Dungeness where loco runs round train. Lunch at Dungeness 1.55 to 2.50.
Train travels non-stop Dungeness to Hythe.
Train departs Hythe double-headed by Black Prince and another steam loco. Train arrives at New Romney at 4.45.
All monies raised will go towards supporting the Association and the Railway.
