Our annual Bus Rally is back for 2026! This popular event will take place on Sunday 6th September at New Romney Station (TN28 8PL).

Make a day of it, with all day travel on our Romney Rover Ticket, which includes entry to our Bus Rally.

Start your journey at Hythe & take a train ride down to New Romney to view the Bus Rally display in our car park.

Explore New Romney Station. Learn about our history in the Heritage Centre & visit our charming Model Railway Exhibition & Museum.

Why not finish your day off with a free bus trip to Dungeness, then enjoy the full line trip back to Hythe.

Everything you need to know!….

If you are starting your journey at New Romney, there will be parking available at the Marsh Academy Leisure Centre (TN28 8BB), a short 10 minute walk to our station, as there will be no parking available for non Bus Rally vehicles at our New Romney car park.

There will be no free shuttle buses from Ashford or Folkestone this year.

There will be a bus shuttle service throughout the day running from New Romney to Dungeness starting at 10.15 and running every 15mins.

Buses will be at New Romney until around 16:30, so please bare that in mind when joining us.

Last minute changes or amendments will be posted on the RHDR Bus Rally facebook page.

A small programme will be available at all stations on the day which will include both the bus and train times. All proceeds from the programme will go to supporting the railway.

This event will use Special Event Ticketing RH&DRA Members, PRIVs, Bug Club & HRA members will be twice the usual rate. Free tickets cannot be redeemed on this day.

Platform/Event tickets for New Romney Station are available, these allow access to the buses, Heywood Buffet, Heritage Centre, Model Railway Exhibition and play areas.
