The model railway exhibition at Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway

New in 2021 the Heritage Centre sits within the old ‘Paint Shop’ building at New Romney Station – near to the Signal Box.

Whether you are a keen railway enthusiast; interested in the history of the Romney Marsh or just mildly curious, there will be something to spark your interest in the Heritage Centre.

Find out about the railway in war time, visits by Royalty and Hollywood stars, seaside holidays and taking the train to school.

Discover the answers to two of the most common questions to staff – “why was the railway built?” and “how fast does it go?”..

The Heritage Centre was designed and funded by the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway Supporters Association.
