The Hythe Coffee Shop serves a range of hot and cold food and beverages overlooking the Royal Military Canal, a popular stop for cyclists.

Hythe Coffee Shop is based in Hythe Station Shop during November and December. The Coffee Shop is open daily excluding Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 until 15:00.

CLOSED FOR WINTER. Hythe’s Vintage Style ‘Tea Room’ serves both cream teas and afternoon teas alongside a selection of sandwiches, salads and jacket potatoes. Don’t forget to try the milkshakes!

The Greenly Coffee Shop at Hythe Station serves a range of hot and cold beverages, Panini’s, sandwiches and delicious cakes. There are indoor and outdoor tables available.


The ‘Heywood Buffet’ at New Romney Station is open every day excluding Mondays and Fridays from 10.00am serving a range of sandwiches, sausage and bacon baps, snacks, confectionery and hot or cold beverages.


The ‘End of the Line Restaurant’ at Dungeness Station is open every day excluding Mondays and Fridays from 10.00 to 15.00. Serving a wide range of sandwiches, snacks and some hot food plus hot or cold beverages.


Outdoor seating is available at Hythe, Dymchurch, New Romney and Dungeness


The Bar Car ‘Gladys’, is our most popular Heritage Coach; perfect for a small group of family or friends to travel together and enjoy a drink or two along the way. A selection of alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, hot drinks and snacks are available to purchase on-board. The Bar Car is currently running without an attendant We also provide a “Hamper” service.

Gladys seats 14 and is available for private hire



Join Romney Marsh Brewery at Ales by the Rails at Dungeness Station.

RH&DR runs a family friendly beer garden with an ‘all local’ drinks list. Open Easter and May Bank Holidays then every weekend throughout the summer.
