Fri 1st to Sun 10th - Hythe Festival Week
RH&DR supports Hythe Festival Week with three events:

Tues 5th - Breakfast Safari Train
An early morning departure from Hythe accompanied by an
expert on the wildlife of the Romney Marsh. For a leisurely trip to
the Romney Marsh Visitor Centre for a tour, stopping on route
to observe as many species as possible, then breakfast in the
Heywood Buffet. Not suitable for young children.
Ticket includes all-day travel. Pre-booking essential.

Thurs 7th - JAM Concert - a brand new event
Board an early evening train from Hythe to New Romney where
the renowned JAM orchestral group will be performing in the
locomotive shed amongst our world-famous fleet. Ticket also
includes a complimentary first drink and buffet.
Pre-booking essential.

Sat 9th - Basil the Bug and Friends Family Seaside Fun Weekend
Celebrating our 9th Family Fun Weekend, when we put our young
railway fans first. Special trains will be hauled by “The Bug” from
Hythe, where there will be children’s entertainers and fun and
games galore. The vintage Tea Room at Hythe will be open.

Mon 11th - Laurel and Hardy Day
Re-enactors play the parts of the famous comedy duo and re-create the scene from their historic visit in 1946, when they reopened the
Dungeness line after the Second World War.
You can join in the fun for no extra charge.

Fri 15th, Sat 16th, Sun 17th - A Tribute to the 1920s & 40s
RH&DR pays homage to its rich heritage, from its opening in 1927
through to the War Years, with a special invitation for schools to
join us on the 15th. Enjoy the journey!

Sat 30th - New Romney Country Fayre
Leave your car at home and board one of our special early morning
diesel-hauled services to ensure you don’t miss the largest free
event on Romney Marsh which attracts over 7,000 visitors from all
over the South East of England.
