Driver Walsh prepares Samson for the non-stop 14.05 Kent Coast Express from Hythe for Dungeness on Saturday 24th May 1997.

At this time, the Kent Coast Express ran every Saturday during the High Season timetable: 14.05 from Hythe arriving at Dungeness at 14.50 where the train waited for 45 minutes in the siding to allow the normal service train to depart. The return to Hythe departed 15.35 arriving at its destination at 16.20.
