The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway with its eighty-three year history of looking after hundreds of thousands of customers every year, ranging from the very young to the young at heart, is this year introducing another service with a difference.

Often we have been asked “Do you do weddings?” or “This is the place we would have loved to have got married” and previously we have had to decline. But that has all changed.

One of Kent’s newest Wedding venues is the Heywood Conservatory at New Romney station.

The venue offers a private and tasteful ceremony area and then the availability of the railway’s unique and special atmosphere and facilities to celebrate your special occasion.

Arrive in style aboard the Royal Saloon, steam-hauled of course. Bring all your guests too as we can add as many coaches as you like complete with headboard on the locomotive specially set out to commemorate your special steam train wedding day and of course you get to keep this special momento.

Hire the Heywood buffet or Dungeness Light Railway restaurant for your Wedding breakfast and if there are lots of young guests keep them entertained on our brand new play area just about to open at New Romney.
